Madness Incarnate — Short film

As a struggling writer during the pandemic, Mikah battles with his own demons as he falls into a monotonous routine of isolation and self-doubt. He yearns to prove to himself (and to the world) that he’s capable of succeeding in his field. However, as he continues putting more pressure on himself, his mental health takes a turn for the worst.

Will Mikah overcome these obstacles and emerge victorious on the other side? Or will he succumb to the darkness and allow it to imprison him? The journey through the inner-workings of his mind unfolds in an experimental narrative that’s full of twists and turns.

Merge —Mental health awareness project

Based on an original poem by Olivia Wong, this experimental film project was made for Mental Health Awareness Month in May 2023.

Merge is about shedding the old version of ourself to step into our high-self, our light, and our power. This metamorphosis can be uncomfortable, scary, and totally nonlinear. More than shedding though, this piece is about becoming whole. We may leave the darkness, but darkness never leaves us. It’s a weight we all carry forward, but it’s not a burden. It’s the mirror we look into to see how far we’ve come, how much we’ve changed, and how far we have left to go.
