Our Mission Statement

“We’re a team of award-winning filmmakers, striving to elevate your project to the next level; always abiding by our 3 core values: quality, community, inclusivity”

Olivia Wong was born in Hong Kong and later adopted into a Chinese-American family. She grew up in Sacramento, California and then moved to Los Angeles to pursue her passion. Ever since the age of 14, she knew that she would be a director.

After briefly attending USC School of Cinematic Arts MFA Program, she wrote, directed, and produced several of her own short films (i.e. Madness Incarnate, Nirvana, Beautiful Bodies) – along with documentary and music video projects.

Enacting positive social change in the world is the primary reason that Olivia is a filmmaker. She yearns to bring untold stories of marginalized groups of people to the surface and highlight stigmatized topics, such as mental health and racial and gender inequality. With these goals in mind, she founded Owong Productions with the same values and strives to create safe spaces for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities.

Teagan Barnes is a producer who wants to inspire women of all ages and backgrounds to pursue their dreams, no matter the challenges that may arise. Through her work at Owong Productions, she hopes to instill confidence and authenticity with all of her collaborators.

Cortlin Barrow is a cinematographer and California native who has been working professionally in the film industry for 7 years. He strives to help tell stories of the known and unknown. His goal is to show other creators from all walks of life you can make a difference.

Clara Carlo is an associate producer who aspires to contribute to shaping a more inclusive and diverse film industry. She hopes to do this through facilitating the creation of stories that help people understand each other and themselves.

Tyler Ross is an associate producer who was born in Los Angeles and has returned to the area after he studied film in both Ireland and the Bay Area. He loves exploring the different sides of the human experience through film.
